Screenshot was the main project of the Random Pixel Order collective. The review gave total freedom to digital creators, with no constraints, no themes, just a space of blank pages for artists to express themselves freely. For each issue, we set out to create a beautiful object using various printing techniques: laser, serigraphy, risography, and experimental digital design techniques. It was an opportunity for me to apply the things I was learning at school to a visual and stimulating project by designing all the covers for each edition. Thanks to Jay’s talent for printing techniques and finishing, we produced 4 beautiful books.
Starting with the third edition of the fanzine, we began organizing launch parties in Paris and Bordeaux, the aim of which was to enable the various artists to meet each other and promote their work live. We invited artists to perform and collaborate with each other on their sound and visual productions. We organized ‘Screenshot Party’ evenings in Paris Nogozon in 2018 for the release of Screenshot__002, in Bordeaux Novo Local and Paris L’International in 2019 for the release of Screenshot_003, also celebrating the end of the Random Pixel Order collective.
Screenshot editions
Screenshot_003 (2019)
Screenshot_003 featured the work of the following artists: Florentin Jeanneau, Blobs & Fluff, Djé, Fazepeel, Pskl, Dephone, , Igor Goryunov, Ivan Murit, Solaris, Thomas Collet, ≈sheglitchr, Simon Lazarus, Vector & Golf.
For this last cover, I experimented with the combination of raster, shadow/light, and 3D glitch.
We organized two release parties in Paris L’International and in Bordeaux (Novo Local).
Screenshot_002 (2018)
Screenshot_002 featured the work of the following artists: Aaron Juarez, Alpha Rats, Althaë, Bart Pilarczyk, Boris Detraz, Dream Doctor, Paulin Grenade, Jay Cartis, Kaspar, Léon Denise and Paul Vivien.
For the cover, I decided to work with 3D in blender to create a fleet of jellyfish made up of cathodic screens from which the images escape. The cover was screen printed on a black 220g mat paper.
We organized an evening at Nogozon, in Paris, to celebrate the release of the book and to give the various participants and the public an opportunity to meet around concerts and VJing performances.

Screenshot_001 (2017)
Screenshot_001 featured the work of the following artists: Hep!Collective, Tarian, Jazwave, Vash Yeah, Gargarismes, Tachyons +, Loic Comment, Beatrice Bonte, Polygon1993, Mark Klink and Olivier Zed.
For this fanzine, I decided to create a generative cover such as every copy of the book would be entirely unique!
Using python, associated to a graphic library, I coded a script to create different “cloud” patterns based on a path research inspired by the Dijkstra algorithm. My algorithm would write all the visited pixel until no more solution could be found, resulting in 40 different covers.

Screenshot_000 (2016)
This first edition featured the work of the following artists: Bonsoir Michel, Code Cortal, Digitoxine, L’oeil Oblique, Laptop Salam, Paint 3000, SuckTheFystem, Tchebichev, Tom Cochien and me.
For this first cover, I’ve tried to pay homage to “Bliss”, the well-known default wallpaper of Windows XP. The cover is a mise en abyme on which a glitched version of the green hill appears, using a data bending technique performed on a bitmap format.
When the book is turned over, the cover reveals a screenshot of the Windows desktop as seen on my screen.
